Girls’ Lacrosse Team

For 2008, we will be starting a Girl’s Lacrosse team for 5th, 6th and 7th grade girls. Since this is our first season, we want to use this opportunity to begin developing our younger players and then expand the program to the high school level as our girl’s move up. If you are interested in playing, Registration Night will be on Weds. January 16 at 7 PM at Vashon high School.
Girl’s lacrosse is a bit different from the boy’s lacrosse. It’s non-contact with a real emphasis on stick skills due to the shallower pocket on the stick head.
Registration forms will be posted in the next few days, so you’ll also be able to download them before sign-up. If you have any questions please e-mail us at and include the best way to get a reply to you.

Special thanks to our players and families

Thank you, Vashon Lacrosse High School team, players from our Youth teams and their families. You are an incredible group of young men!  Of the sports groups asked to participate in the work party on Saturday (Youth Football, youth soccer, youth baseball & HS Vashon Lacrosse) the High School team had the overwhelming majority of participants.  The VSD grounds crew, Janine and Linda, were speechless.  They said it would have taken at least a week to accomplish what you did in 2 hours and they would not have done as good a job as you did.

We had over 70 people come out to help including: the Paridon family, Eric & Roger Davidheiser, the Loraas family, Elliot and Brem Scherer, Austin & Bill Franks, Tyler & Bill Nicoll, Mark & Cole Grabow, Mike Sr. & Mike Jr. Pruett, Stoffer family, Nathan Osgood and his dad, Kimbrough family, Jake and Jenny Warren, Charlie Hoffman, Gary and Tanner Means, Nick Bordner, Jack Lorence, Ross Bowers, Ed Zapel, Aedan Weber, Wyatt Williams, Joe Shigley, Alex Garabedian, Joe Sullivan and Ben Shelton. We know there are many more not named here, but couldn’t remember all teh names, there were so many out on the field

And thanks to those who let HS Team Coordinator Laura Davidheiser know that they had already made plans for today. We know you would have been there otherwise.

Thanks much to a great group of kids and families, you really looked like a team out there.
